History of the Scholarship Programme

The scholarship programme was established on the initiative of former scholarship holders of the Evangelisches Studienwerk Villigst, a Protestant foundation to sponsor German students. In the sixties they developed the idea of establishing a scholarship foundation for students from overseas as a special Christian contribution to development.
